‘His evening is done’: Dragons and Dolphins hit with fresh injury blows in Red V demolition

Both the Dolphins and Dragons have been handed fresh injury blows with a key players coming off the field in St George Illawarra’s horror Suncorp Stadium display.

In the 20th minute, winger Christian Tupilulotu was seen grabbing at his hamstring while walking down the tunnel, failing to return to the field.

It was later confirmed the gun flyer had reinjured his hamstring, which had kept him sidelined since Round 6 after scoring seven tries in five games to start the season.

Meanwhile, Kristian Woolf could be without young gun Max Plath after he left the field and was spotted with ice on his knee.

Fox League’s Jake Duke revealed the 23-year-old had reinjured a recurring MCL problem.

“Kristian Woolf will be very happy with what his side is dishing up… just a little bit of an update on Max Plath,” Duke said.

“It’s a medial knee injury that he carried into the game he had heavily strapped. He copped a bit of a bump on it so his evening is done, he’s got it iced up.

“But hopefully nothing too serious for him.”

It remains to be seen how long both Tuipulotu and Plath will be sidelined for, with scans expected to confirm the extent of the injuries.
