The Panthers are headed across the ditch without their State of Origin stars to take on a high-flying Warriors outfit in a crucial clash to get their season on track.

Penrith coach Ivan Cleary has decided to rest Isaah Yeo, Brian To’o, Liam Martin, Dylan Edwards and Nathan following Wednesday’s thriller.

Instead it’ll be the likes of Matt Eisenhuth, Paul Alamoti, Daine Laurie and Brad Schneider who will face the tough task of playing the Warriors at Go Media Stadium.

It’s a crucial clash for the four-time premiers, who sit 11th but could shoot up into the top eight with a win.

But it won’t be easy with the Warriors sitting third after winning seven of their last eight games.

They’ll be without Kurt Capewell, who will also be rested after playing Origin, but are boosted by the return of star hooker Wayde Egan from a hip injury.
